“I feel like we need justice in a storyline like this.”
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has teased that Belle and Tom King’s dark storyline will end with “justice” served.
Eden’s character Belle recently confided in in Charity Dingle about the months of abuse she faced while living with Tom.
With Belle’s permission, Charity filled in Belle’s older brother Cain over the distressing situation.
After the truth about Tom spread throughout the village, resulting in Vanessa Woodfield and Rhona Goskirk choosing to sack him from the vets surgery, the abuser disappeared from the village with no explanation.
Teasing how things will eventually end for Tom now that the Dingle family are fully informed over his torment of Belle, Eden told The Mirror: “Who knows what Cain’s going to do?
“The Dingles are the most loyal family so it’s obviously its going to rock a few boats so we’ll see.
“I feel like we need justice in a storyline like this. I feel like if justice is served everyone will be happy.”
While it appears as though Tom’s time as a free man is finally reaching its end, show bosses have confirmed that the storyline will run until the end of the year.
Recently discussing the importance of keeping this storyline running over the coming months, Eden told Digital Spy: “There’s still so much to see and such a journey to go on. It might not all be as smooth sailing as I and you would hope!
“Along with the research team, producers and writers, everyone is so passionate about telling the story correctly and showing that there are so many times when someone might feel ‘I can get out of this, I can change my life’ and something drags you back.
“They’ve looked at statistics and obviously everyone’s journey is different, but I think it’s important to show that it’s not that simple and it’s not that easy.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
