Steph found out the truth about Anthony and sees only one way out…
Emmerdale has had an explosive few weeks as the fallout after Anthony Fox’s murder has started to reach boiling point after Steph Milligan found out the truth.
It started when Anthony and Steph showed up in the Dales last year to try and make amends with Ruby after Anthony was diagnosed with cancer.
Ruby was visibly uncomfortable with her estranged father’s arrival, and it wasn’t until flashbacks aired that viewers learned of Anthony’s repeated sexual abuse towards Ruby as a teenager.
Things got worse when Chas encouraged Ruby to get a DNA test for Steph, but it was Caleb who found the results and realised he was not the biological father of Steph – Anthony was.
In a fit of rage, Caleb confronted Anthony at a secluded barn with a gun yet his father-in-law fled the scene and made it safely to the depot. However, once there he was met with Aaron Dingle who wanted justice for Ruby after suffering abuse from the hands of his own father, Gordon Livesy.
After the pair got into a heated argument, Aaron saw red and threw several deadly punches towards Anthony and left him bleeding out on the floor. Unbeknownst to Aaron, Ruby found him and decided to end his life.
When Aaron later returned to the depot with boyfriend John Sugden, they cleared the crime scene of any evidence including his body which John promised to take care of.
Back to the present, the “murder club” includes Ruby, Caleb, John, Aaron, Chas and Cain as everyone who knows where Anthony is. However, things escalated once more as Steph was determined to find out where her grandad had gone.

She continued to grow suspicious of her family, and eventually found a gun in Caleb’s safe. After confronting her parents and forcing Caleb to hand himself in, Ruby finally shared the truth with Steph including that Anthony is her real father.
In upcoming episodes, Steph is still unreachable and missing after learning of the sickening truth about Anthony. Ruby and Caleb struggle to hide their concern with where she could be as well as how she’s handling the traumatic news.
Ruby suddenly works out where she could be and heads to find her at Anthony’s burial spot in the woods. She promises her daughter that they are going to work through this trauma together.
Steph then announces that she’s thought of a plan and calls the rest of the murder conspirators to join her where she announces what she has in mind…
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
