Rose Jackson has been missing from Emmerdale village for a few weeks now – but next week, fans will finally learn what really happened to her
Emmerdale’s Rose Jackson’s fate is set to be finally revealed next week after the character vanished from the village in recent scenes of the ITV soap.
Having arrived in the Dales not long ago, it emerged Rose was Dawn Fletcher’s estranged mother. Despite the shock of her ex, Will Taylor, at her sudden appearance, she made herself comfortable in the fabric of village life, moving into Home Farm.
Kim Tate, now linked romantically to Will, initially bristled at Rose’s presence at Home Farm. Yet, faced with Dawn’s son Evan falling gravely ill, she relented.
Unbeknownst to Kim, Rose was secretly conspiringwith Ruby Fox-Milligan, the wife of Kim’s rival Caleb Milligan, to undermine Kim’s standing and tranquillity at home, even seducing her former spouse as part of her scheme.
When the treacherous plot concocted by Ruby and Rose came to light, a furious Kim pledged retribution, reports the Mirror.
Rose vanished shortly after the intrigue unfolded, leading to speculation that either Kim or Will may have silenced her permanently when her abandoned bag was discovered.
Claire King, who portrays Kim, previously hinted that her character wouldn’t hesitate to exact lethal reprisals on Rose and another trio in the village.
Regarding the notion of Ruby being on equal footing with Kim, Claire chuckled and remarked: “I think Ruby would like to think Kim has met her match. I don’t think she’s on par with Kim. I think Kim can be a little bit more dangerous than Ruby… but we’ll see.”
Teasing upcoming drama on the ITV soap, she gushed: “I can’t wait. I have them all lined up. There will be a few that have wronged her in the last few storylines.
“There’s Rose to sort out, Ruby, Will’s got to have a bit of slap round the chops. There’s a few. Probably Caleb is in there just for good measure. Maybe chuck a Dingle in.”
Yet, revelations are on the horizon next week as ITV viewers are set to discover the fate of Rose. Anxiety grips Will as he senses his secrets unraveling and through gripping flashbacks, we’ll piece together Rose’s story – and whether she has survived.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
