Jimmy worries for his daughter’s future.
Emmerdale has revealed some disturbing news about Angelica King.
The teen has been serving time in a youth offender’s home in recent months, after pleading guilty to death by dangerous driving following the death of her friend Heath Hope.
It looked as if Angel would soon be released due to good behaviour, yet Wednesday’s (August 14) episode confirmed that was no longer the case.
Jimmy and Nicola shared with nephew Tom King that they were waiting for more information after hearing Angel had been involved in a fight.
The couple decided they would go to Bristol to demand to see Angelica, with Nicola reasoning: “They can’t stop us seeing her. She’s our daughter!”
Tom questioned whether going in “guns blazing” would really help Angelica’s cause, so Jimmy offered to go on his own.
“I can just ask them kindly and politely what’s been going on,” Jimmy insisted.
Jimmy was back before long, revealing he’d heard from Angelica’s unit before he’d even got halfway to Bristol.
“We’re not allowed to visit Angel at the moment,” Jimmy announced.
He then told a shocked Nicola that Angelica had not been attacked — she’d actually been the aggressor in hurting another inmate. Because of this offence, Angelica’s early release had been cancelled.
“Angel started the fight. She was the bully,” Jimmy reported.
Later, Nicola was alarmed when Jimmy said he didn’t want their sons to find out Angelica had “turned into a thug”.
“I feared this would happen,” Jimmy confessed. “Being locked up, it hardens people.”
Ahead of these scenes airing, Emmerdale cast member Rebecca Bakes suggested she would be back on screens as Angelica this autumn.
“It should be at the end of September, so in a few months maybe! I don’t really know because we haven’t started filming anything yet,” she told Digital Spy.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
