Emmerdale fans are convinced they know who is out to get Manpreet Sharma, with a return predicted and a duo tipped to be the mystery blackmailers on the ITV soap
Viewers are convinced an Emmerdale twist could see Meena Jutla make her return, and a secret link to Ella Forster.
Viewers are guessing who is behind Manpreet Sharma’s blackmail ordeal, and despite some “obvious” scenes and red herrings a number of fans are sticking by the theory Ella is involved. But that’s not all, as a past theory about Ella being linked to killer Meena from months ago has resurfaced.
Despite Ella being with Manpreet when she receives the nasty messages from her harasser, fans think we are being tricked into believing Ella is innocent. Many also believe she is not working alone, and that her and Meena have teamed up to take down Manpreet.
Ella was in prison in the past, so did her and Meena meet after all? Could the pair now be working together amid rumours of a return for Meena and an exit for Ella?
Fans certainly think so after Ella claimed to be supporting her friend, encouraging her not to let the blackmailer win. But Ella appeared to smirk in one scene as the messages continued.

Viewers cannot shake the idea that Meena is somehow involved, and that Ella is also tied into the plot and knows killer Meena. Taking to social media one fan shared a theory that read: “I read Ella and Meena know each other from prison and Meena wants to get her own back on Manpreet, so sets a plan for Ella to help her.”
Another viewer posted a similar theory saying: “I’ve seen somewhere it is Ella and somehow Meena involved,” as a third fan commented: “Maybe they were in prison together Meena and Ella.” A further idea read: “Meena and Ella.”
The theory kept on being shared too with another post reading: “Her sister and Ella. In it together.” Another fan said: “Think Billy could be a red herring? He ran past them at the picnic, too. But wondering if he just looked, and didn’t blackmail,” believing Billy was not the blackmailer despite some hints.
Other suspects teased in episodes and spoilers include Tracy Robinson and Joe Tate, while fans have also suspected Angelica King, Ross Barton, Billy and John Sugden. The only thing possibly ruling Ella out is that she’s always with Manpreet when the messages come through.
This would be the perfect alibi though wouldn’t it, as she clearly isn’t sending them when she’s there. But what if she’s scheduling the text messages to arrive when she’s with Manpreet, or she’s working with someone, say Meena, who is sending the texts when she’s with the character?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
