Emmerdale viewers are convinced that character Kerry Wyatt is set to have a dark new storyline, as they think she might have a sinister plan for Eric Pollard

Emmerdale fans believe they’ve spotted a clue about Kerry Wyatt’s intentions for Eric Pollard, and it doesn’t bode well.

Laura Norton’s character has been a mainstay since her 2012 debut, quickly becoming a fan favourite. Kerry has been involved in numerous major plotlines, from her complex relationship with her secret daughter Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) to unintentional arson, ensuring her time in the Dales is never dull.

Recently, she has grown closer to soap icon Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), who has had a challenging few months. In addition to living with Parkinson’s, Eric recently became single. His partner Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) broke up with him after he lost her life savings to a risky cryptocurrency enemy.

The breakup left Eric heartbroken, but this week he devised a dangerous scheme. To repay Brenda, Eric planned to burn down the shop in an insurance fraud, hoping for a large payout.

However, Kerry discovered his plan and thwarted it. She confided in Eric about her own fire incident in 2019, when she and Amy accidentally started a fire at a sweet factory, resulting in the tragic death of Frank Clayton (Michael Praed), reports Leicestershire Live.

In the recent episode aired on Friday (January 31), ‘Emmerdale’ fans saw Kerry checking up on Eric, who’s been grappling with some troubling thoughts. They spent a cozy afternoon together at the shop where Kerry expressed her concerns about him.

In a tender moment, Eric acknowledged Kerry as family, saying “Even you,” which brought a smile to Kerry’s face. She warmly responded, “You’ve definitely got me Eric.”

Taking things a step further with a hint of mischief, Kerry joked, “So if I’m officially family, then properly, you might want to think about changing your will,” leaving Eric to splutter his drink in surprise.

However, that quip has set tongues wagging among ‘Emmerdale’ viewers, who suspect Kerry may have a malevolent scheme brewing for Eric. The speculation is rife with comments from fans on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, with one viewer stating, “Why am I sensing Kerry is going to steal or try and get with Eric? ” Skepticism was echoed by another fan who remarked, “I’ve never trusted the friendship with Eric tbh.”

A third fan speculated a more sinister plot could unfold, comparing Kerry’s situation with Eric to another storyline, musing “I think she might do what Cassie is doing to Ken in Coronation Street? ” A fellow fan seemed to concur, mentioning “That’s what I’ve thought for a while.”
