Emmerdale Will was seen making a mystery phone call amid his feud with ex wife Kim Tate – now fans have ‘worked out’ who was on the other end
Emmerdale fans have ‘rumbled’ the mystery person Will Taylor called up – and it’s a returning Dales legend.
Dales regular Will (Dean Andrews) has had a dramatic few months, amid the breakdown of his marriage with Kim Tate (Claire King). As fans will recall, earlier this year Will cheated on Kim with his ex Rose (Christine Tremarco).
Will was then blackmailed by a mystery person – only for it to be revealed as none other than Kim – who knew everything. The pair then took part in savage back and forths as they tried to get one up on each other.
Kim was determined not to let Will get his hands on her fortune and estate. But recently though, it has been hinted that the pair could soon rekindle things, especially after the passing of Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell).
Kim even confided in pal Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) about her torn feelings, admitting her revenge wasn’t as satisfying as she had hoped. However, it seems the drama for Kim and Will is far from over.
During Monday’s episode (November 20) Will visited his daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and her troubles with Billy (Jay Kontzle). After, he was seen making a mystery phone call in which he told the person on the other end: “You were supposed to call me, to let me know I got everything I needed.”
Now, viewers are certain they know who Will was on the phone to – and it’s a blast from the last. Over on X, fans reckon it could be either Joe (Ned Porteous) or Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) Tate.
Alongside photos of the characters, one person said: “Oooh who is Will talking to? #Emmerdale promised a return, could it be? #TheTates They both have a bone to pick with Kim!” Someone else replied: “Either of them would be MASSIVE!”
A third chimed in: “Definitely need a Joe return. The storylines with him and Kim would be brilliant.” Echoing their thoughts, another person wrote: “Would love to see that! They bring an interesting dynamic.”
Joe Tate appeared on Emmerdale between 2017 and 2018. He was seemingly killed off in 2018, but it was later revealed that he was actually living abroad following a failed attempt to get revenge on Charity Dingle.
Meanwhile, Kim’s son Jamie, was last seen on screen in 2021 after faking his own death in a car crash. With his mum Kim convinced he’d passed away, Jamie secretly went to live with daughter Millie and her gran.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
