Manpreet Sharma receives messages from a currently unidentified sender this week in Emmerdale and fans of the ITV soap are convinced it could be her serial killer sister Meena Jutla
Emmerdale’s Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) keeps a secret from her fellow villagers next week in the wake of the limo crash.
Tragedy struck in the Dales on Friday (February 14) after a night out turned into a nightmare with 17 lives hanging in the balance following two separate accidents involving limousines.
One of the crashes saw the vehicle plunge into ice as several characters battled the elements as well as their immediate danger, with Monday’s (February 17) instalment revealing that Suzy Merton had tragically lost her life in the crash.
Leyla Harding and Amy Barton also died following the accident and the aftermath of the deaths continues this week.
Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that upcoming scenes will show the residents of the Dales gathered for a vigil as they mourn the lives of those lost to the tragic accident.
During the vigil, Manpreet receives messages from a currently unidentified sender but fans are convinced they know who it could be.
Taking to social media, one fan penned: “Is this something to do with Meena? How brilliant would this be? She was a great character!” Another agreed: “Yes Meena Jutla maybe escape from prison or on the run plan her revenge on everybody.”
A third person said: “I’d love for this to happen. No more ‘contain scenes that some viewers may find distressing’ misery, just some silly and contrived villains that you actually want to watch.” A fourth said: “She’s needed! Can do the redemption story then she has to go bad again to stop someone else.”
Other fans are concerned that Manpreet could be involved in the Joe Tate and Noah Dingle storyline, particularly after it was revealed that Noah had been spiked and that’s why he was walking around on his own the night of the crash.
One fan suggested: “I think she gave Joe the drugs to spike Noah or something” before adding, “OR maybe Joe’s got nothing to do with Noah being spiked and Manpreet gives him the wrong dose of something during a check-up or something.”
A second wrote: “Oh I haven’t even thought about that. I’d love to see a villainous side from her as well, or any side from her. Rebecca Sarker is such a good actress and Manpreet’s role is perfect so it’s a shame that she hasn’t had a big storyline in ages.”
