Emmerdale fans are sure that they have worked out who is set to die in upcoming scenes after a number of flashforwards were revealed with a tragic funeral and ice horror
Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve pieced together who might meet their end in the upcoming episodes, as a series of flashforwards are set to offer a sneak peek into future events.
The chilling teaser, which begins with the villagers eagerly counting down to the New Year at The Woolpack, hints at several grim departures.
On New Year’s Eve (December 31), the ITV soap will showcase five stunning flashforward scenes, providing viewers with a tantalising glimpse of what’s in store for the Dales in 2025, and the trailer has already been shared with fans.
These flashforwards are woven into the pub celebrations, and in the first one, we see Mackenzie Boyd sprinting through the woods, while Caleb Milligan appears to be in serious danger as he lies in a hospital bed on a ventilator before an unknown character is shown flatlining.
Cain Dingle is also depicted standing by a freshly dug grave, indicating that a funeral has just occurred. He is seen dressed in a suit, having attended the service, and crying at the graveside.
There’s also what seems to be a murder, as a body wrapped in dark sheets is tossed into a river. The trailer concludes with another potential death, showing a mystery character trapped under ice, their hand pressed against the solid surface above them.
Fans reckon they’ve figured out two of the possible deaths, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Emmerdale fans are abuzz with theories after a chilling scene showing someone trapped under ice, fuelling rumours that it could be Leyla Cavanagh following whispers of Roxy Shahidi’s departure from the show.
One person tweeted: “Am sure thats leyla in the water.” Another viewer aired their view, sayings: “I think Leyla is in that water then she dies.”
The speculation didn’t stop there, as a third penned: “The hand at the end I think is Leyla.” Meanwhile, a fourth speculated: “Leyla the one in the ice? #Emmerdale.”
The mystery deepens with viewers trying to figure out whose funeral Cain may be attending. One fan shared their shock online: “OMG! Whose grave is Cain at? Nate’s, Mack’s or is it Caleb he has flatlined? ” The plot thickens with a second claiming: “My time has come. Right so the grave is Nate, Moira did it and John covered it up. This is what happened.”
Suspicion brims as a third posted: “Cain stood at a grave I’m saying Nate maybe? #Emmerdale.” A fourth person added more fuel to the fire, writing: “I think Cain might be at Nate’s grave, he’s been deceased this whole time #Emmerdale.”
