Emmerdale fans have ‘figured out’ Mackenzie Boyd’s dramatic flashforward – and it’s not looking good for him

Emmerdale fans are certain they know the truth behind Mackenzie Boyd’s flashforward.

At the New Year, the ITV soap aired several flashforwards, giving fans a glimpse at what was to come in 2025. These included a scene of Caleb Miligan (William Ash) fighting for his life while flatlining in a hospital.

There was also an eerie clip of someone trapped under an icy lake, and another flashforward included soap favourite Mack (Lawrence Robb) with him running in fear of someone.

This week, the flashforward of the hand under the ice was shown – following the limo crash that resulted in three deaths: Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).

**The soap aired a flashforward involving Mack**

As fans will recall the ladies limo, which was playing host to the likes of Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) plunged into an icy lake after the crash.

And in a harrowing turn of events, Amy Barton ended up coming across a dead body under the lake – but she died before being able to reveal what she saw.

**Mackenzie was seen running away in a flashforward**

Following the shock reveal of the decaying dead body, fans have been convinced that it is Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) and that he was murdered by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

And now, after the recent flashforward, viewers have ‘figured out’ Mack’s flashforward too – and who he is running from. Writing on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person mused: “ Someone help me out here…. in all the flashbacks we see Mack running through the woods but that never happened.

“Is this still a future episode do we think? As why is he running. I’m confused,” they added. Rushing to the comments section, fans put forward their theory that Mack could be running from John – with Mack potentially another character getting killed off.

“John will be chasing Mack through the woods. He was close with Nate and if he starts to suspect John then John will go after him. It’s not going to end well,” said a second person. A third agreed: “I think he’s running away from John because Nate was his friend.”
