Emmerdale has confirmed who really killed Anthony after days of Aaron thinking it was him – and amidst the drama fans believe they’ve ‘worked out’ where John has hidden the body
It’s been a tense week in Emmerdale, as the aftermath from Anthony’s ‘murder’ continues. As more drama unfolds, fans are convinced they’ve worked out where John has disposed of the villain’s body, and have predicted when they think ‘all will be revealed’.
Up until now, Aaron Dingle believed he was the one to end Anthony’s life after a brutal attack. However, the story has turned once again.
After confronting Anthony about his abuse towards Ruby, Aaron battered Anthony, leaving him for dead in the depot. John Sugden then came to help, ‘disposing’ of Anthony’s body. All week fans have seen the events eating away at Aaron, and on Thursday, he confessed to Ruby.

Explaining how he targeting her dad after learning of his sexual abuse towards her, something Aaron himself had experienced he was shockingly interrupted. “You didn’t kill him – I did,” said Ruby as flashbacks revealed what fans had been wondering all week.
Visiting the depot after Aaron had attacked Ruby, she confessed to suffocating Anthony after he grabbed her. She then confessed to husband Caleb, and the two went to dispose of the body, although it had already been taken care of by John, who isn’t revealing where he’s hidden the body. Chas Dingle is also in the know after Aaron refused to lie to his mother.

Despite all the drama going on, fans are still questioning why John’s being so cagey about the body, and some think they’ve worked out why. “I’m guessing so they can keep it as a surprise when it gets dragged out of the icy water when looking for survivors at the lake accident. Another agreed: “Is his body in the lake that’s gonna have the crash in a few months?”
Earlier this month, the ITV soap announced a devastating and perilous crash stunt that sees multiple beloved characters battle for survival, after crashing a car into an icy lake. The storyline will hit screens in February.
Things then became even more complicated at the end of the episode as Laurel believed she was to blame after beating him with a candlestick. The guilt became too much for the character, as she told the police she “thinks she might have killed someone.”
However, fans aren’t convinced that Ruby, Caleb, Aaron and John are in the clear. “Too many people know only a matter of time before someone slips up,” said one fan, while another agreed: “We all know secrets don’t remain secrets on soaps. This is going to blow up in all their faces.”
