There’s a horror collapse for Chas Dingle next week on Emmerdale, and now fans think they know who or what is to blame.

The character collapses and hits her head at the pub, leading to John Sugden rushing to help his future mother-in-law. Chas takes a funny turn before collapsing, shortly after a run-in with love rival Ella Forster.

The pair clash after Chas’ engagement party with Liam Cavanagh, Ella’s ex. But when Chas is at the pub later in the week she suddenly passes out, hitting her head as she falls to the ground.

Now, theres two key theories about who or what causes the medical moment. Viewers have been fearing Chas might be in a bad way ever since she suffered with a back injury after the limo crash.

Several scenes saw her claim she was in pain with her back, even weeks after the crash. She’s been on painkillers since, leaving some wondering if an addiction storyline was on the cards.

Others wondered if a health storyline would be on the horizon after her past cancer diagnosis. But now fans think someone in particular will put her in harm’s way.

With John eager to impress Chas but the pair not getting on, and Chas not keen on her son Aaron Dingle’s new man, might he take action? He’s desperate to get het onside and get his approval, and he’s been seen frustrated with Chas recently.

One theory suggests perhaps John is out to get Chas amid fans speculating he could be a killer, following Nate Robinson’s secret murder. Could Chas be his next victim, or might he be going to extreme lengths to get her to trust him?

If correct, it would mean John has deliberately harmed Chas just to look like the good guy, so would he go this far? Or might he be taking revenge on her as she fails to support his engagement plans with Aaron.
