Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Steph’s killer as death ‘sealed’ – and Ruby will be devastated

Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Steph Miligan is going to be murdered in upcoming scenes

Emmerdale fans are speculating that Steph Miligan, played by Georgia Jay, might be the next character to meet a grisly end on the soap, and they believe they’ve figured out who’s responsible.

Steph made her first appearance in the Dales last year as the estranged daughter of Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb (William Ash). Shortly after, Ruby’s father Anthony (Nicholas Day) also arrived, causing upheaval in her life.

As Anthony became a part of the village, Ruby began to unravel, evidently concealing something about her father. It was later disclosed that Anthony had sexually abused Ruby when she was 14. Furthermore, it was confirmed that Anthony is Steph’s biological father.

After Anthony’s heinous crimes came to light, he was murdered by his own daughter Ruby, with several other villagers now implicated in the cover-up of the murder, including Caleb, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), and Cain (Jeff Hordley), reports Leicestershire Live.

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and his boyfriend John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) are also involved, as John assisted in concealing the murder scene by transporting Anthony’s body to a hidden spot in the woods.

Since then, Steph has been eager to connect with her grandfather, but Ruby refuses to reveal the truth to protect her, as she is unaware that Anthony is her real father.

However, this week saw a dramatic twist when Steph continued her investigation. She even fabricated a story claiming she had spoken to her grandfather, in an attempt to provoke a reaction from Aaron and Caleb.

Steph’s quest for the truth about her father’s deeds is making Emmerdale viewers nervous as they predict a grim outcome. After discovering a gun in her father’s safe and demanding answers, her disbelief in Ruby and Caleb’s story has only intensified her resolve.

As fans dissect her every step on an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, theories abound. One viewer posed the uneasy question: “Oh no! What’s Steph next move?” sparking speculation, with one fan responding, “What if Aaron tells John about Steph still snooping and John ends up killing her?”

Another chimed in, fearing the worst: “I agree, it’s going to backfire at some point!” Clearly worried for her fate, another fan concluded: “It’s definitely not going to end well for her.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
