Emmerdale fans reckon Ruby Fox-Miligan is hiding a huge secret about her father – and it’s gross
Emmerdale fans have ‘uncovered’ the huge secret that Ruby Fox-Miligan is hiding about her estranged father.
Last week, Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb (William Ash) were lost for words when daughter Steph (Georgia Jay) showed up, more than 10 years since they last saw her. Stephanie was mentioned for the first time a few months ago, following the death of Ruby’s mum Helen (Sharon Maughan).
And during Friday’s episode (November 15) Steph rocked up the Dales – but it was clear that Steph was only in the village to get her inheritance from late grandmother Helen.
Steph went and confronted her mum about her awful childhood, but things took a dramatic turn when Ruby slapped her, instead of the reconciliation she had hoped for.
During Tuesday’s instalment (November 19), Ruby and Steph appeared to patch things up though. However, soon enough, another relative rocked up to the Dales: Ruby’s father Anthony (Nicholas Day).
It was clear there’s a lot of history between the father and daughter – with Ruby insisting she didn’t want anything to do with him. However, fans reckon Ruby is hiding a huge bombshell about her father – and it’s sickening.
Sharing their thoughts on X, one person mused: “Ruby despises her dad, but why. Is there something far more sinister. He is rather sinister. He’s creepy.”
Someone else wrote: “Are they going to do a Ruby’s daughter is also her sister type storyline and that’s why she hates her dad so much?” A third chimed in: “I have a sinking feeling that Ruby’s dad was troubling her. I do hope I’m wrong.”
A fourth person proclaimed: “No way is that the reaction of someone who was told to leave cos they got pregnant. That’s the reaction of someone who’s been abused. Is her dad Steph’s dad not grandad. This & other?”
Talking about her character, Georgia previously explained Steph is in for an unhappy family reunion: “She comes back into the village, I think it has been a decade or so, and there’s some conflict between mum Ruby and Caleb.
“I can’t say too much about it, but it is an exciting storyline to be coming into, the past will be revealed of why she hasn’t been in the picture for so long.” Georgia added: “I can say when she sees dad and mum for the first time, she’s not there to stay – it’s more ‘I want something then I’m going to leave’. She wants nothing to do with [it], and just wants to get the money and go.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
