Emmerdale’s Ruby could be set for surprise pregnancy twist – but ‘Caleb and Cain are not the baby’s father’
Emmerdale fans have predicted a shock pregnancy twist for Ruby Fox-Miligan.
Ruby (Beth Cordingly) has had a difficult few months recently. Last year, her world was turned upside down following the arrival of her estranged father Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day).
As Anthony settled into the village, Ruby spiralled – clearly hiding something about her dad. She even ended up sleeping with brother-in-law Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
It was later revealed that Anthony sexually abused Ruby when she was 14. What’s more, it was also confirmed that Anthony is the real father of Ruby’s daughter Steph’s (Georgia Jay) – and not Caleb Miligan (William Ash).
After Anthony’s sick crimes were exposed, several villagers were out to get him – including Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). Triggered by flashbacks of his own sexual assault as a child, Aaron brutally attacked and Anthony and left him for dead, thinking he had killed him.
Aaron’s boyfriend John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) then stepped in to protect Aaron and got rid of the body. However, he refused to reveal where Anthony ended up. The truth eventually came out though that it was Ruby who murdered Anthony, finishing off the job once Aaron left.
Several other characters have since become involved in the cover-up of the murder, including Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain. But now, in what would be a shock twist fans reckon Ruby could be pregnant – and they fear Caleb or Cain isn’t the real father.
Sharing their thoughts on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person penned: “Ruby is pregnant with Cain’s baby.”However, rushing to the comments section, other people think the baby’s father could actually be Anthony.
A second viewer chimed in and pointed out: “She took the morning after pill but it doesn’t always work.” A third then mused: “Or Anthony’s baby?” Echoing their thoughts, another agreed: “I thought the same, how gross!” Someone else declared: “You never know, it’s soapland anything is possible.”
Another fan penned: “Why do people keep commenting she can’t be because of the morning after pill? Do people think it’s 100% effective?? It isn’t and it gets less and less effective with every hour you wait to take it or if she vomited after taking it, etc.”
