Emmerdale aired another twist for Tom as he was arrested and presented with the iPad that holds vital evidence in Belle’s abuse case, but it appears one villager is planning to take him down
Emmerdale villain Tom King (played by James Chase) was arrested amid the investigation into his domestic violence against Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
But the vet was released by the police once again and their investigation continued, but soap fans think Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) is about to take Tom down in a new revenge plot.
Tom’s arrest came after Nicola took stepson Carl (Charlie Munro Joyce) down the station to report him for lying over the missing tablet. The device holds crucial evidence that proves Belle was being abused by Tom.
Carl also confessed his cousin Tom threatened him over the tablet, then destroyed it to cover his tracks. In the latest trip to the village (October 31), DS Foy (Robert Cavanah) challenged Tom on his previous statements.
The copper provided evidence that Tom had purchased several cameras used to spy on Belle while in her own home as his controlling behaviour spiralled.
DS Foy, who believes Belle, also confirmed that although she is receiving treatment for her mental health. Belle was sound of mind when she reported Tom for domestic abuse.
A potential smoking gun was also revealed when Foy confirmed that the police investigators had finally found Tom’s broken tablet, which would be closely examined by an IT team to see if any data could be recovered.
While the police continued their investigations, Tom returned home and was met by a stern-faced Nicola who knows Tom is guilty of terrorising Belle.
In another twist, a mystery person had vandalised Tom’s car. Nicola called the whole Tom saga “crazy” before vowing to prove Tom is guilty.
Emmerdale fans are now convinced Nicola is on a revenge streak against Tom, and is the person who smashed his car window, with more plots on the horizon.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “I reckon it was Nicola that smashed Tom’s car window! @emmerdale #Emmerdale.”
A second urged: “Go on Nicola, bring him down!! @emmerdale #emmerdale”, while a third stated: “Tom gets stabbed next week and I get the feeling it’s gonna be Nicola #Emmerdale.”
“I didn’t think that by the tail end of the Belle abuse storyline, we’d be rooting for Nicola #Emmerdale”, added one viewer.
“I’m so thrilled Nicola sees Tom for the monster he is – it never made sense to me that she took his side in the first place tbh #Emmerdale”, added another.
