Emmerdale fans can expect dramatic and deadly scenes in 2025 on the ITV soap, and there might be a major death twist involving Mackenzie Boyd as teased in a flashforward

Viewers of Emmerdale believe Mackenzie Boyd is facing a brutal death on the ITV soap after an eerie teaser.

A chilling flashforward clip showed the character fleeing for his life, it seems, as if he was being chased. He’s seen running through the woods with a look of terror on his face, but what is he running from?

Nothing is clear, but all of the flashfowards that appeared in the teaser are pretty dark – promising a dramatic 2025 ahead. Someone gets trapped under an icy lake, Caleb Miligan is shown flatlining, and there’s also someone killed and wrapped in a body bag.

Cain Dingle is also seen mourning at someone’s graveside confirming another death. Could Mack’s incident be linked to the bodybag or the ice, or are these separate happenings?

It’s unclear for now with no timeframe given as to when the scenes will air. All we do know is that Mack is very clearly running from something or to something, most likely the former.

He might be being chased or running from someone, but there is absolutely nothing giving away what this is about. Viewers are certain it will lead to his gruesome demise though, after he recently stole money from unlicensed fight promoter Jade, leading to threats.

Taking to X, one fan theorised: “The end of Mack?” A second fan said: “So is Jade coming after Mack, so he’s running for his life?” as a third wrote: “THE END OF MACK!?!?”

Another viewer predicted: “Emmerdale don’t you dare kill off Joe Tate or Mackenzie!” as a fifth fan posted: “Mackenzie could be exiting.” He isn’t the only one tipped to die though, as fans are also predicting Anthony Fox will be murdered next year,

Viewers are under the impression he could be the mystery victim in the bodybag seen being chucked into a river in the flashforward. Someone is seen kicking the body into the river, potentially the person’s killer if it is in fact a body.

Viewers think a whodunnit is on the cards and it will lead to someone killing Anthony, as his lies come to light. He sickeningly sexually abused his daughter Ruby Miligan when she was a teenager, so will this be exposed to their family leading to a death twist?

Another theory is that the person trapped under the ice in the 2025 preview is the same person in the bodybag. Could they make a dramatic escape and desperately break free from the icy lake?
