Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Kim Tate’s devious plan for Joe – and it’s not looking good

Emmerdale viewers believe they have ‘rumbled’ Kim Tate’s plan for Joe

Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve figured out Kim Tate’s cunning plan for Joe. Kim, played by Claire King, has had a tough time recently in the Dales.

Over Christmas, her husband Will Taylor, portrayed by Dean Andrews, suffered a heart attack and passed away. This came shortly after it was revealed he was involved in a scheme to bring her down – a plot masterminded by Joe (Ned Porteous), who made a surprising return to the village.

Following Will’s death, Kim was left devastated, while Will’s daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley) was convinced Kim was somehow involved in his demise. She even drugged her in an attempt to extract a confession.

Luckily, Kim recovered and forgave Dawn, allowing her to move back into Home Farm and hiring her to assist with running her empire. Meanwhile, Joe has been acting the part of the caring step-grandson, looking after Kim.

However, viewers were taken aback when Dawn and Joe began an unexpected affair. It started with a kiss last week, and on Wednesday’s episode (January 22), the pair slept together.

Furthermore, amidst Joe’s affair with Dawn, it’s evident that he’s unwell and concealing a significant health issue, often seen in pain and taking painkillers and tablets, reports Leicestershire Live.

But, during Thursday’s episode (January 23), the soap unveiled a significant Kim revelation – and fans are thrilled to see her back to her scheming ways.

In a gripping episode, Kim Tate turned super sleuth by sneaking into Joe Tate’s room and planting a recording device cleverly behind his dresser. The plot thickened as she listened in on a private conversation he had about his health woes with an unknown person over the phone.

Kim is planning something big, according to fans

Emmerdale fans are abuzz on social media, piecing together Kim’s next moves for Joe Tate—and it’s looking ominous. One vigilant fan noted on an Emmerdale Facebook group: “Good old Kim is back then.”

Others chimed in with insights like: “She knows about him and Dawn. She’s very clever throwing them together.” And predictions such as: “Can’t wait to watch Kim ruin Joe and Dawn.” Another admirer of Kim’s tactics cheered her on with: “I knew Kim wasn’t daft, go on Kim.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
