Chas and Caleb finally found out exactly who Steph’s father was, and how they think Caleb will deal with him

Emmerdale fans believe Caleb has a plan for dealing with Anthony after he and Chas worked out the truth in the latest episode.

In tonight’s episode, Ruby was still kicked out of the home after Caleb found a paternity test which revealed he was not Beth’s father. Previously, fans of the show had figured out that it was Ruby’s father Anthony, who was Steph’s real father after he sexually abused Ruby when she was a teenager.

No one else in the village knew, and so Steph soon confronted Ruby, saying she did not need her in her life. Ruby returned to sleep at the B&B only for Anthony to come in.

He watched her as she slept, and when Ruby woke up she darted away from him. She confronted him with what he did, while he continued to deny it.

She told him he had raped her, and said she now had proof. Ruby told Anthony that he was Steph’s father, to which he reacted with shock before marching out as Ruby told him she would not tell anyone because she did not want Steph to find out.

Meanwhile Cain told Caleb to reconcile with Ruby, while Chas told him that Ruby had come to her before with her doubts. She said that from what Ruby had said, it appeared that what happened was not consensual, although Caleb believed this was Ruby’s old friend Rob, who he had tricked into coming.

Chas told Caleb not to attack him, but Caleb did so anyway, pinning Rob up against a wall and demanding that he confess. Rob revealed that he had never slept with Ruby and was in fact gay, which finally convinced Caleb.

Rob said he knew of no one else, and that Ruby had stayed at his home because she was scared of Anthony. At this moment, Chas worked out the truth and once Rob left, she told Caleb, who was shocked.

Now fans think he will soon have a plan to deal with Anthony. @SG902110 said: “Caleb’s gonna kill him!! Let’s see how this now plays out”. @Chris1968E added: “think Caleb’s gonna faint then explode. I would then go very cold & focused on what needed doing”.
