Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ April Windsor’s return in sinister murder plot

Emmerdale viewers have been left devastated as April remains missing but predict her dark comeback

Emmerdale aired the disappearance of April Windsor, portrayed by Amelia Flanagan, at Christmas and the teenager is yet to return home.

However, some viewers of the ITV soap are convinced she is about to make an appearance and will kill Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day).

April’s sudden disappearance came after a series of traumatic events in the Dales, including being kidnapped by boxing promoter Jade (Twinnie-Lee Moore) and discovering the truth about her mother Donna’s (Verity Rushworth) death in 2014.

These distressing incidents led to April turning to alcohol, and falling out with her father Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock). After vanishing from her room, she was seen entering an unknown car on Boxing Day and later caught on CCTV weeks afterwards.

Elsewhere, Anthony was exposed as abusing his daughter Ruby (Beth Cordingly) in a harrowing flashback episode. Last week, Anthony was revealed to have fathered Ruby’s daughter Steph (Georgia Jay) destroying Ruby’s marriage with Caleb (William Ash).

Manipulative Anthony has tried to charm the villagers since moving to Emmerdale late last year, but the truth about his crimes is now starting to spread.

The evil character is killed off in suspicious circumstances this week, and some fans of the soap think April is responsible predicting Anthony is the reason behind her disappearance.

Taking to Facebook, one Emmerdale fan suggested: “I know I might be so so far off BUT I know Anthony gets killed next week I’m wondering if its April that does it as I think he picked her up and she wasn’t aware of what he is capable of until he goes too far I may be wrong but I just have an inkling.”

A second wrote: “I agree I think Anthony also groomed and abused Ruby’s friend Rob. Laurel has asked him to tutor Arthur.”

A third chimed in: “I would rather see him arrested and get jail, getting killed is easy way out and he won’t know why.”

On X, another added: “I’m convinced that Anthony had something to do with April’s disappearance and that she tried to fight back and that’s how his arm got injured #Emmerdale.”

“That sounds quite likely – April won’t want to return to Emmerdale if he’s there”, suggested another.
