Emmerdale’s Tom King is in cahoots with cousin Angelica – but fans are certain the youngster is actually “playing” him
Emmerdale fans have ‘rumbled’ what Angelica King is planning for cousin Tom.
Evil Tom (James Chase) is currently behind bars, after getting arrested last week. As fans will recall, over the past year he has abused his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), gaslighting her and controlling her every move.
One incident saw Belle attack Tom with an axe in self-defence – and despite being hesitant at first, Belle reported Tom to the police for his abuse.
Thinking he was able to get away with it, Tom was quick to dispose of his tablet, which contained incriminating evidence. But this week, justice finally came calling for Tom – much to the delight of soap fans.
Despite being arrested and charged, Tom later decided to go on the run and flee the country. He soon got what was coming to him though, as the cops were able to track him down. Tom is now in prison, but this week, the soap aired a shock twist when it was revealed that Tom’s cousin, Angelica (Rebecca Bakes) reached out to Tom, as she seems to believe he is guilty.
During Wednesday’s episode (December 4), and speaking on the phone in secret, Tom tasked Angelica to convince her dad Jimmy (Nick Miles) that Tom is innocent and deserves support. But in what would be another epic twist, fans are certain that Angelica is actually “setting up” the villainous Tom King.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “I can’t believe Angelica answering Tom’s phone call and chatting away with him like they’re best buddies. Just daft in my eyes Angelica why.” However, other fans were quick to share their theory that the youngster is “playing” Tom.
In the comments section, one person said: “Think she turns him in, she’s playing him to her and belles advantage.” A second wrote: “Just hope she’s playing him to get more information. She could record something he says and use that for evidence.”
A third mused: “l think, given the look on her face a few times, she is playing Tom. l am convinced she is up to something and of course, Tom is attempting to use someone else!”
Echoing their thoughts, another penned: “She’s setting him up. She wasn’t around when Tom threatened her brother Carl, so she is out for revenge. This storyline is annoying at times, but Tom will have egg on his face.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
