Emmerdale fans spot where they’ve seen financial advisor in Kim Tate’s love triangle before

Emmerdale viewers have been left distracted by the financial advisor in Kim Tate and Will Taylor’s love triangle as they have seen him somewhere before on the ITV soap

Emmerdale’s Tuesday episode was a whirlwind of drama as Kim Tate and Will Taylor’s bitter split reached new heights.

The latest scenes saw Will (played by Dean Andrews) visibly wounded and astonished when he spotted Kim’s (Claire King) financial advisor, Peter (David Michaels), descending the stairs at Home Farm. Kim couldn’t resist goading her former flame about their night together, much to his dismay.

Will’s temper flared, branding Kim a ‘spiteful old cow’, which led Peter to defend her honour, insisting that Will should show more respect towards Kim as a lady.

This incited Will to retort: “A lady? She’s no lady! She’s an old trollop who’s well past her sell by date! ” resulting in Peter flooring Will with a punch.

Kim looked on with a self-satisfied smirk, having previously declared she never loses and has no intention of relinquishing her home or wealth, despite Will’s threats to take it all, reports Leeds Live.

Meanwhile, viewers were distracted by the familiar face of David Michaels as Peter, flocking to social media to place him. One viewer tweeted: “What’s Kim’s new lawyer/ financial advisor been in before. I recognise him and it’s bugging me.”

Speculation ran rampant online, with one fan suggesting: “Kim adviser I am sure he was from doctors or peak practice xx” and another chiming in with: “Recognise him from somewhere!”.

At 60 years old, actor David Michaels is no stranger to the small screen, boasting an impressive resume. He’s notably remembered for his stint as Jon Welch on Coronation Street between 1994 and 1996, and for portraying Dr Neil Bolton in Heartbeat from 1997 to 1999.

The actor, known for roles in hits like Waterloo Road, Doctors, The Bill and Spooks, has certainly made a splash on the scene.

Fans have rapidly taken to newcomer Peter, particularly after Tuesday night’s fiery exchange. One viewer enthused: “Loved this whole scene hilarious”, another chimed in with praise saying: “Well done random lawyer man”, while a third was keen to see more: “I want to see more of Kim’s ‘Financial Advisor’ He’s fab! Also what’s he been in before? He looks familiar.”

All this follows last week’s episodes where we saw Kim pull the strings behind Will’s extortion dread. Long-time viewers will recall Will’s struggle to keep his past fling with Rose (Christine Tremarco) under wraps.

In a twist worthy of soap opera grandeur, Kim confessed to being the mastermind of the blackmail plot. Oblivious until now, Will had been played into thinking Kim was kidnapped last week, leading him to a forest clearing.

Expecting to find Kim’s body in a freshly-dug grave, hes stunned when she reveals herself alive and well, throwing him into the hole and absconding with the £40K ransom Will had brought along for the supposed kidnappers.

As the dust settles, it’s clear Will is not taking this treachery lying down. Hes vowed vengeance, setting the stage for an intense conflict with Kim ever since.
