Will Taylor suddenly fell to the ground during a row with Kim Tate in the latest episode of Emmerdale, with viewers fearing the worst for the character
There are concerns that a character may meet their end on Emmerdale, following Will Taylor’s collapse after an argument with Kim Tate on Christmas Day.
Dean Andrews’ character was finally unmasked for his scheme to bring down his wife, despite having had a change of heart just days before. However, as Kim declared their relationship over shortly after their vow renewal, calamity ensued when Will suddenly fell to the ground.
Kim appeared sceptical, looking bewildered as her partner collapsed after clutching his chest. As he pleaded for her understanding and forgiveness, he lurched forward, toppling everything in his way.
A previous flashforward hinted at a commotion at Home Farm with the Christmas tree knocked over, and it quickly became clear that this was due to Will’s unexpected health crisis. But what exactly is wrong with Will, and will he pull through?
The spoilers did not disclose that Will would be revealed or that he would fall ill. His fate is now uncertain, but there might be some hints about whether he survives or not, reports the Mirror. Viewers will have to watch the Boxing Day episode to discover what has transpired and if all will be well. But is Will exiting the show permanently?
What we can confirm is that this isn’t the first time Kim has experienced a scene like this. Many years ago, in the same room, her husband Frank Tate suffered a fatal heart attack, and Kim simply walked out, leaving him behind.
However, Kim has evolved significantly since her past and it’s evident she harbours deep affection for Will. Whether she can forgive him and continue their relationship is uncertain, as is the reaction of his daughter Dawn to his ominous scheme involving Kim.
Dean, the actor portraying Will, recently spoke with The Mirror and other media outlets about the upcoming episode. He did not hint at leaving the show or suggest that his character Will might meet a grim fate. Given the unpredictable nature of soap operas, could Will be facing a tragic end, or might he be spared?
This development follows the revelation of his plot with Peter and Joe Tate to ruin Kim, exposed by Joe himself. Joe alleged that Will had approached Kim’s son Jamie Tate for a revenge plot during a period of conflict between him and Kim.
Joe informed Kim that Jamie declined this proposal, leading him to accept Will’s offer – despite Will being unaware of his co-conspirator’s identity, knowing only of Peter’s involvement. Joe now asserts that he was protecting Kim by setting up Will – but what is his true motive?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays
