Emmerdale released a chilling flashforward for 2025 that appeared to confirm a death of a character, with a bodybag scene hinting someone turns killer next year
There’s a shocking murder twist on the way it seems in Emmerdale, with a 2025 preview confirming death and horror.
One such clue saw a body, it appears, wrapped up in dark sheeting with chains. It gets kicked into a river by a mystery character, while we have no idea what has happened prior.
There’s no details on who dies and how, but it’s clear they have been killed. For them to be wrapped in a bodybag and disposed of, it clearly suggests their death is being covered up.
The person who throws the body into the water must be the killer or must be helping the killer, confirming the victim has likely died a sinister and untimely death. But what reason would someone have to kill the mystery character and then cover up the death?
Viewers are speculating it might be linked to a predicted whodunnit involving a villain on the show after recent bombshells. Anthony Fox was recently exposed as a predator, having sexually abused his own daughter Ruby Miligan when she was a teenager.
He’s now taunting Cain Dingle over his fling with Ruby after learning the truth, while he’s also coming between Ruby and her family. Now, fans think he could be tied into the April Windsor disappearance storyline in a sickening twist.

With there the potential for more than one character wanting him out the village, fans are under the impression he will be killed off in a whodunnit. But is he the body in the bag, and has he been killed as the truth about his actions come to light?
Fans certainly think so taking to X to predict a gruesome end for Anthony. One viewer said: “Hopefully it’s Anthony in the body bag.” Another agreed: “Kinda hoping it’s Antony… do not like him!”
A third viewer posted: “Hopefully that’s Ant in a placcy bag in the river.” A fourth fan commented: “Wonder if the body bag is [Anthony].” as another said: “Definitely Antony.”
There are other major death hints in the 2025 preview too, with one character flatlining, another being chased, a funeral scene and another person is trapped under ice. Caleb Miligan, Anthony’s son-in-law, is shown in a bad way in hospital with no details given about the twist.
His brother Cain is shown crying at someone’s graveside after a funeral – but who’s died? Elsewhere, a character is shown bashing underneath a river that has iced over amid rumours of a horror accident.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
