Emmerdale fans ‘gutted’ as they ‘work out’ more village devastation after double death

Emmerdale viewers have spotted a heartbreaking detail after two deaths were confirmed on the ITV soap following the limo crash

Emmerdale has been airing nail-biting scenes as a limo tragedy left several villagers in danger this week.

Following the crash into the ice lake, Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) lost her life, having sustained a head injury that instantly killed her in the vehicle.

Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) plunged through the ice into the freezing depths while doctor Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) passed out.

Away from the lake, a woozy Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) collapsed, with it currently being a mystery over what is wrong with him.

Elsewhere, Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) was bleeding out badly after being brutally injured and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) had done everything to try and get her out.

In heartbreaking scenes, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) raced around the hospital trying to find his mum on Wednesday night. He eventually learnt the awful truth that she had passed away and was forced to say the most painful of goodbyes to Leyla, who has been a fixture in the Emmerdale village for close to two decades.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to spot a heartbreaking detail which will cause more devastation to the village. Soap watchers will recall that both Leyla and Suzy ran local wedding and event planning business Take A Vow.

With the two characters dead, it just leaves employee Belle Dingle left as the business’ future is left in jeopardy. One soap watcher said: “So I take it that’s the end of Take a vow? #emmerdale”, a different account put: “Suzy and Leyla were business partners. What’s going to happen with Take A Vow now? #Emmerdale”, another wrote: “Both Leyla & Suzy have died. Wonder where that leaves Take A Vow. #emmerdale.”

Elsewhere, another wrote: “With Layla & Suzy gone, looks like Belle is working at “Take A Vow” on her own then…. #Emmerdale” while a different account put: “Absolutely gutted they’ve killed Leyla off. Does this mean with also Suzy dead that they’ll be getting rid of Take A Vow? #Emmerdale.”
