Emmerdale fans are convinced new character Jade has a link to a past resident, and they think they’ve worked out who her mother is – and it’s not Ruby MIligan
Emmerdale viewers have been introduced to a fresh face in the village named Jade, and fans are already speculating about her true identity. Jade, portrayed by former Hollyoaks actress and singer Twinnie-Lee Moore, has entered the scene as a boxing promoter, paying Billy Fletcher to participate in unlicensed fights, leading fans to fear for Billy’s life.
With Jade’s arrival, fans are convinced she’s concealing her real identity, as is often the case with new characters. One popular theory suggests that Jade might be the secret daughter of Caleb and Ruby Milligan. Another theory hints that Jade might actually be the secret offspring of a former resident who still has connections to the village.
Fans are speculating that Jade could be revealed as the daughter of Sadie King, Jimmy King’s ex, who was played by Patsy Kensit. However, despite calls for Sadie’s return, this twist seems unlikely as it’s been disclosed that Jade is only a guest character, reports the Mirror.
Meanwhile, fans are bracing themselves for heartache as they anticipate Billy’s dark storyline ending in tragedy. Comments about “not being able to get rid of him” and the looming threat of infection has viewers thinking his days are numbered.
Mackenzie Boyd grimly joked that he thought Billy wouldn’t make it, and even John Sugden, who treated Billy’s injuries, ominously cautioned that another blow could be fatal. The death predictions are ramping up online, with some fans convinced we’re seeing the set-up for Billy’s departure.
On social media, a fan shared their dread, posting: “Billy will end up dead,” while another commented: “Billy is putting his life on the line.” Echoing the sentiment, a third wrote: “Who gets paid when Billy inevitably dies?”
Meanwhile, ITV fans are celebrating the news that new episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street are now available to stream on ITVX from 7am on the day of broadcast.
Speaking on the exciting new changes, ITV Channels’ managing director Craig Morris said: “The positive response when we made the soaps available at 7am during The Euros and the Olympics this year shows that audiences want to choose when to watch their favourite Soap, and the new dedicated destination on ITVX is a fitting home for the Nation’s biggest and best continuing dramas.”
“Now you can choose when to enjoy your daily dose of drama – whether during the morning commute, over lunch or at a time that suits you each evening.”
