Emmerdale fans claim Anthony is ‘still alive’ as huge secret yet to be revealed

Emmerdale continues to air the aftermath Aaron and John’s cover up after Anthony’s attack but as John refuses to reveal where the body is – could he be hiding something?

Emmerdale fans saw Aaron Dingle continue to struggle with the aftermath of Anthony Fox’s attack on Wednesday night.

Last week, Aaron battered Anthony after confronting him about what he had done to Ruby, and left him for dead. Throughout the week, viewers have seen himself and John trying to cover up the evidence.

Yesterday, John Sugden was seen trying to convince Aaron they were in the clear after getting rid of the evidence. Unbeknownst to them though, Manpreet Sharma was seen peering out the window after hearing noises from the garage after Aaron had stripped down Anthony’s car.

John refuses to tell Aaron where Anthony’s body is

In the latest instalment, John was seen warning Aaron not to tell Ruby ‘the truth,’ saying it would be “game over for both of us,” if he did. “I’ve robbed her of any justice she might have hoped for!” Aaron exclaimed as John questioned: “So you’re going to throw your life away just because you feel bad?!”

Later on in the episode, Aaron and John were seen having a private conversation in the van with Aaron telling John to tell him where he hid the body. However, John was having none of it saying there was “no chance” he’d tell him where it is.

Could Anthony still be alive?

“Right now, you not knowing is the only thing stopping you from making a big mistake,” he said. “You need to sort your head out and deal with this, like we agreed.”

Could John refusing to reveal where Anthony’s body is and the mystery surrounding it mean he’s still alive? Some fans seem to think so. “Where on earth could he be buried? OR has he covered up Anthony being alive ?” questioned one viewer on X, formerly known as Twitter.

When Aaron had finished beating Anthony, he was still alive. John then sent Aaron on his way, and told him he’d dealt with it. Now, some are convinced Aaron isn’t the killer. “Ffs Aaron better not be sent down for this I think someone else did it #emmerdale,” said one.

However, Danny Miller, who plays the character of Aaron isn’t giving anything away as to whether his character is a murderer or not. Speaking about his future, he said he never takes anything for granted.

“You only sign a year’s contract at a time. There could be a day where they say: ‘there won’t be another year’s contract after this’, which would be a horrendous meeting to have. But I will always respect that this could be a possibility. It makes you enjoy the job even more not knowing when it could or could not come to an end. I never take anything for granted.”
