The ITV soap aired distressing scenes on Monday as one Emmerdale villager was left fighting for their life
Emmerdale icon Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) was left guilt-ridden on Monday (March 10), as his devious actions put one life at risk.
Last week, Marlon and Rhona Goskirk (Zoë Henry) allowed homeless Dylan (Fred Kettle) to stay at their family home at the request of their daughter, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan). But it soon became clear Dylan needed professional help as he withdrew from using spice.
April tried to help her struggling friend stamp out his drug habit, which sparked worry in Marlon, who thought the teenager was taking on too much following the stillbirth of her daughter. In the latest trip to the village, Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and his former step-daughter April confided in one another about addiction.

Ross told April about his painkiller addiction in an attempt to persuade her that Dylan needed far more help than she could give. But when Ross said the wrong thing, April concluded that he couldn’t care less about Dylan and stormed off.
Later, Rhona discovered that some ketamine had gone missing at the vets, and after some thought, she suspected drug addict Dylan was the culprit.
April was furious at the accusation but eventually urged her friend to turn out his pockets and prove her parents and Ross wrong.
When the drug was found in Dylan’s coat pocket, April was devastated at the betrayal, while Dylan protested his innocence.

Marlon sent Dylan away, but it wasn’t long before he was confessing the truth to Rhona, he had framed Dylan in order to get him out of April’s life for good.
Rhona was horrified, but she could understand why Marlon took such desperate measures. The day took a distressing turn, though, when the pair learned that Dylan had taken an overdose and had been rushed to hospital leaving at ‘deaths door’.
Will Dylan pull through? And will Marlon face any consequences?
Emmerdale fans were furious by Marlon’s deceit but have been left fearing his latest actions could see him locked up in prison following 29 years in the village, especially if Dylan dies.

Taking to X, one Emmerdale viewer wrote: “Hope the Police lock-up Marlon!”. A second urged: “#Emmerdale Yes – you need to report it to Swirling, Rhona! Especially now ocd Marlon has fessed up!.”
A third chimed in: “If I was Rhona…. I’d get rid of Marlon by reporting him to the police Emmerdale.”
“Just watched tonight’s #Emmerdale. Looks like Steph is getting closer to the truth whilst Marlon risks losing April for good if his actions come to light”, added another.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
