Emmerdale fans have ‘rumbled’ a devastating twist ahead for newcomer Dylan

Emmerdale viewers are bracing themselves for a heart-wrenching plot twist following newcomer Dylan’s journey to rehab.

Dylan, portrayed by Fred Kettle, was introduced earlier this year when teenager April (Amelia Flanagan) befriended him during her time living on the streets. Dylan and his close friend Becca (Becca Ashton) took April under their wing, particularly after discovering she was pregnant.

Tragically, Becca was fatally stabbed while pursuing a thief who had stolen their money. Aware of April’s pregnancy, Dylan pledged to look after her, seemingly resorting to sex work to make ends meet. However, their makeshift home was raided by police, leading to Dylan’s arrest while April managed to escape.

In a distressing turn of events, April later gave birth to a stillborn baby in a public toilet. Now back in the Dales, April has invited Dylan to the village and convinced her father Marlon to offer him shelter.

But Dylan is battling his own demons, struggling with an addiction to the drug spice. Despite April’s determination to help him get clean, Marlon deceitfully planted drugs on Dylan, framing him for stealing ketamine from the local vets, reports Leicestershire Live.

In a dramatic turn of events on Emmerdale, Marlon was hit with the news that Dylan had overdosed and was now in hospital. Wracked with guilt, Marlon visited Dylan during Wednesday’s episode (March 11) and confessed the truth to him.

In a gesture of support, he offered to cover the costs for Dylan’s rehab, urging him to keep it a secret from April. However, as Dylan takes the steps towards recovery, fans are bracing themselves for another devastating twist.

Emmerdale fans have taken to social media to voice their concerns, with some predicting that Dylan might face another overdose or worse, lose his life. One fan expressed disappointment in Marlon on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, commenting, “Shame on you Marlon! Dylan seems a decent young lad and he looked after your daughter while she was on the streets!” Others quickly joined the conversation, sharing their gloomy predictions about Dylan’s fate.
