Emmerdale Caleb Milligan’s revenge plan ‘backfires’ as fans spot big mistake

Emmerdale fans are convinced that Caleb Milligan’s revenge plan against Kim Tate will backfire – after spotting a “blunder” in the ITV soap’s ongoing storyline

Emmerdale viewers have highlighted a “blunder” by Caleb Milligan in his quest to bring down Kim Tate.

The popular character, played by William Ash, has been scheming against village nemesis Kim Tate, portrayed by Claire King, since he first arrived in the Dales in 2022.

He initially planned to ruin Kim, blaming her for his father’s death, but his plot was foiled by Kim and he has since become a part of the community.

However, recently, Caleb’s wife Ruby Milligan-Fox, played by Beth Cordingly, has also been targeting Kim, using Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) to stir up trouble between Kim and her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). Last week, Caleb revealed his latest scheme to topple Kim, much to Ruby’s pleasure.

In response to Kim’s self-proclaimed ‘lady of the manor’ status, Caleb plans to purchase land adjacent to Home Farm with the intention of building ‘an empire right here on her doorstep. ‘.

Adding to this, Caleb is also conning Jimmy King (Nick Miles) out of his own business as part of his revenge plot against Kim. Last week, Jimmy sent Rodney (Patrick Mower) on a haulage job, only to find upon his return that the cargo had disappeared, reports the Express.

Unknown to Jimmy, it was Caleb who had stolen the goods, later admitting to his wife Ruby that he needed lorries for his new venture. As fans will remember, Jimmy’s business is co-owned by Kim and Will, so Caleb has no issue with deceiving them.

Emmerdale fans reckon Caleb’s cunning plot against Jimmy could come crashing down after they noticed a bit of a boo-boo. Caleb might have slipped up by pocketing a bribe to the traffic examiner, hoping to throw shade on Jimmy’s biz.

But nope, the eagle-eyed audience picked up that the examiner could spill the beans to Jimmy about the setup after Caleb refused to cough up more cash, telling him ‘that’s not how I do business. ‘.

The speculation went into overdrive on social media, with the soap’s followers laying it out on an Emmerdale Facebook fan group. A clued-up fan posted: “Maybe the inspector guy will go back to Jimmy and say it was set up through Caleb since he didn’t get paid.”

Jumping on the conspiracy bandwagon, another viewer scribbled: “I was thinking this as well, didn’t think it through did he,” slamming Caleb’s half-baked scheme, and another one chipped in: “I knew Caleb and the inspector were working together.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
