Emmerdale’s Billy Fletcher could be set for a shock new romance with someone totally unexpected after his wife Dawn Taylor’s shock affair
Emmerdale viewers are certain they know who Billy Fletcher could strike up a romance with next, after his wife Dawn Taylor.
Billy (Jay Kontzle) first set foot in the famous Dales back in December 2018. Since then, he’s become a firm favourite with the soap’s loyal legion of fans.
The devoted dad has also played a part in several big storylines too – from his disastrous wedding to wife Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) to the shock leukaemia diagnosis of their child Evan.
And over on the soap at the moment, he has no idea that Dawn cheated on him recently with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). Joe made his epic return to the soap at Christmas – and has caused plenty of drama since.
After Dawn spiked Kim Tate (Claire King) – in an ill-fated attempt to get Kim to tell the truth about her dad Will’s (Dean Andrews) death – things took a dramatic turn when Kim started to have seizures and passed out.
Joe arrived and quickly took matter of the situation and called an ambulance. He also insisted to Dawn that he wouldn’t tell anyone about her spiking Kim.
Luckily, Kim turned out to be ok. But later on, Dawn revealed what she did to Kim to Billy – who was appalled. He stormed out of their house and Joe then joined to comfort her.
In a shock twist though, the pair ended up kissing. Dawn instantly regretted it and apologised – but Joe advised her not to tell Billy.
In the following episode, Dawn tried to cover up her actions and she and Joe met up in secret, agreeing to pretend nothing had happened between them.
However, with fans predicting a full-blown affair between Joe and Dawn, other viewers are convinced Billy is set for a new shock romance too.
Sharing their thoughts, viewers are convinced he will get with Kim. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “Now hear me out. Billy – new king of Home Farm, Kim’s new lover?”
Someone else added: “Yes!! I’m here for this! Kim would be a much better upgrade from Dawn.” A third chimed in and agreed: “I’ve thought this for a while! She’ll eat him alive.”
Another fan chimed in and said: “Maybe Billy would appreciate the older woman.” Echoing their thoughts, a fifth penned: “I like the sound of that one.”
