Emmerdale Amelia Spencer could be set for a major baby bombshell as fans have predicted a shock pregnancy
Emmerdale fans are certain the soap is lining up a shock pregnancy storyline for Amelia Spencer – but Tom King isn’t the father.
At the moment, Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is dating bad guy and abuser Tom King (James Chase). Fans will recall Tom abused his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) earlier this year – with Belle eventually leaving him.
However, Tom has since struck up a romance with Amelia who is 10 years younger than him. He has managed to lure Amelia in, who has been taken in by his charm and vowed to defend Tom no matter what.
As well as trying to prove his innocence, Amelia has also been keeping her daughter Esther away from Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) Esther’s grandparents.
However, with actor James Chase’s soap exit reportedly looming, fans are waiting for his character Tom to hopefully get his comeuppance. And in the soap last week, it appeared that Lydia had gotten through to Amelia, about his true ways.
The following day though, Amelia confronted Tom and questioned him about his true feelings. The abuser managed to smooth talk Amelia, winning her round and lying that his feelings for her were genuine. But now, amid the Dales drama, fans reckon Amelia could be pregnant, but adding more shock to the twist, some viewers think Tom isn’t the baby’s father.
“The next story is she’ll be pregnant with his child,” said one person on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page. Other viewers agreed: “Definitely! Only a matter of time.” A third penned: “Let’s hope Tom isn’t the father.” A fourth said: “That would tip him over the edge! I want it to be some random, or maybe Noah.”
Another person pointed out how Amelia and Tom haven’t slept together yet and said: “He said he wants to wait so as of now they have not done the deed but that may change.” However, someone else shared how the soap could easily go around it. They said: “They could retcon that though. Could have happened off-screen, but wouldn’t be the first time”. A second person wrote: “100%.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
