Emmerdale Aaron Dingle has been unlucky in love as of late but viewers have predicted a shock new romance could be on the cards for the beloved villager
Emmerdale Aaron Dingle’s new love interest has been ‘revealed’ – and it’s bad news for one female villager.
The soap favourite (Danny Miller) is a regular on screen – making his debut in the Dales back in 2008. And since then, he’s played a part in several big storylines. His romance with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) had fans hooked too with the pair becoming one of the soap’s most iconic and beloved couples.
Robert became involved with Aaron after meeting and growing emotionally and physically close. They married unofficially in 2017, but split after Robert’s affair while Aaron was serving time in prison.
They briefly reunited in 2018, tying the knot in an official ceremony. However, their wedded bliss was short-lived, with Robert being sentenced to life in prison in 2019, after killing the man who raped his sister.
However, over in the soap at the moment, Aaron ended up sleeping with a mysterious newcomer. But in a shock twist, it was revealed that he was actually John Sugden, the half-brother of Robert.
Despite their short fling, the pair have since clashed, especially as John left Aaron stranded after their roadside romp, by stealing and driving off in his van. Aaron has since become determined to get revenge. But fans are now certain they know which villager Aaron will start a romance with next – and it’s a beloved villager.
Rushing to social media, fans pointed out how Aaron could shack up with his good pal Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) – who is currently married to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
In the past few years, Mack and Aaron have grown closer, especially in the past few episodes, when John arrived. Now fans reckon their friendship could lead to something more.
On X, one person said: “Do you think Mack could call things off with Charity and get together with Aaron at some stage? I always thought Aaron & Mack were better suited.”
Someone else replied: “I still think they have a lot of chemistry I’ve always thought that.” A third agreed: “I agree Mack has serious chemistry with Aaron. #Emmerdale hasn’t had a bisexual male character since Robert.”
Another chimed in and mused: “I do still like Aaron & Mackenzie. Still think they could get together.” A fifth wrote: “Aaron & Mackenzie are meant to be together.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
