EastEnders viewers ‘point out’ confession tape clue that will expose Reiss Colwell

EastEnders icon Bianca is still being held captive by Reiss following her shock confession

EastEnders legend Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) has confessed to Debbie’s murder in a desperate bid to free her sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) from prison. However, eagle-eyed fans think the confession video will prove her innocence and expose captor Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) as the killer.

Bianca has been held hostage in a storage lockup since November after she uncovered incriminating evidence that proved that Reiss killed his wife Debbie.

Pregnant Sonia was arrested for the murder and held in prison on remand while she awaited trial. This week, Walford locals gathered in court to support Sonia as her murder trial arrived.

Things took a turn for a worse when Sonia collapsed, and she was convinced that she couldn’t continue fighting for freedom. Pleading guilty would be the best thing for both her, and the unborn child.

Reiss became desperate to find a way to set Sonia free leaving Bianca taking the chance to secure her own freedom. She agreed to take the blame for Debbie’s murder if she could run free and Sonia would be released.

Bianca recorded a confession statement on a mobile phone and Reiss then sent it to himself using a VPN to protect it being traced.

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) headed back to the courtroom, horrified to see Sonia preparing to plead guilty.

Suddenly, Reiss dramatically appeared and said that he had new evidence and the trial was yet again adjourned.

The solicitor then delivered the upsetting news that despite Bianca’s tape being handed to the CPS, it could take weeks for it to be admissible and therefore the jury could only use their prior knowledge when deciding on Sonia’s guilt.

On Thursday (January 23), Sonia was found not guilty for killing Debbie and is now a free women while Bianca remains in the lock-up.

However, EastEnders fans have pointed out the confession tape was recorded in the storage unit among Debbie’s possessions, including her dollhouse, which would prove Reiss’ guilt and Bianca’s innocence.

Taking to X, one viewer pointed out: “In the back In the mirror is the dolls house Debbie left Reiss! This is how it’s all gunna unfold!!!” (sic)

A second added: “If Bianca is wearing Debbie’s clothes in the confession video, that’ll be Reiss’s undoing. #EastEnders.” (sic)

A third asked: “So… no one found that ‘confession’ suspicious? #EastEnders.” (sic)

“My theory is that they’ll spot the things in the background (mirror, dolls house) & realise she’s surrounded in Debbie’s belongings and find her (also it’s clearly a hostage video too lol),” explained one fan. (sic)

“THE DOLL HOUSE! Bianca overheard Debbie’s mum mention the dolls house during a disagreement with Reiss when she was earwigging at the door! #EastEnders,” exclaimed another. (sic)

EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer at 7:30pm
