EastEnders viewers were left scratching their heads after watching the latest episode of the BBC soap as they took issue with the police storyline amid the Nish Panesar drama
EastEnders fans are all expressing the same gripe after watching Monday’s (December 30) episode on BBC iPlayer.
The air in Walford was buzzing with joy as Suki Panesar (played by Balvinder Sopal), Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), and the Panesars prepped for Suki and Eve’s combined hen party.
But the revelry came to a halt when coppers rocked up with news of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) being sighted nearby. Anxious about Nish, Suki got jittery over her nuptials with Eve.
Meanwhile, sly Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) went behind their backs to conspire with grandad Nish, who convinced him to mislead both the police and Suki.

Later the fuzz claimed that they spotted Nish taking a plunge into the river, leading them to deduce he’d met a watery grave. Sceptical Suki demanded hard evidence, not buying he’s brown bread until she sees it for herself.
However, after Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) has a chinwag with her, Suki steeled up to proceed with the wedding. And as you might’ve guessed, the crafty Nish kept pulling Nugget’s strings, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Following airing, viewers flocked to X, what used to be Twitter, to call out a howler in the storyline. One viewer tweeted: “Are the police a wee bit stupid? Didn’t even find a body and they’re saying Nish is dead.”

Another chimed in with: “The police announcing Nish as dead because they found his clothes in a pond and not a body is kind of silly lol like they barely did an investigation.”
EastEnders spoilers have hinted that Suki and Eve’s wedding celebrations could be derailed by a lurking Nish. As the excited pair head to Harry’s Barn for their hen night, they’re oblivious to Nish’s presence, who threatens to spoil everything.

The Square is buzzing on the day of Suki and Eve’s wedding as they get ready to say “I do”. But with Nish on the loose in Walford, it remains to be seen whether the couple will make it down the aisle without any hitches.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
