EastEnders’ Tommy stages return and Kat is forced to confess to him

EastEnders’ Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) returns home after months living with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) this week, and it’s not long before things take a dark turn.

Fans of the BBC soap will remember that Tommy and his mum Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) were at the centre of a child-to-parent abuse storyline last year.

After Kat kept her torment of her son’s violence a secret, the truth eventually came out, with Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) calling social services, worried about the safety of Tommy’s younger twin brothers.

Kat was devastated when she was told Tommy would be placed in temporary care, but neighbour Zack, who is a registered foster parent, stepped in to take him in, and the troubled teen has been living with him ever since.

This week, Kat and her partner Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) are delighted when their social worker tells them their son can finally move back home.

However, for Kat, her happiness soon turns to concern, when she confides in Alfie her worries about Tommy’s return.

When the couple eventually welcome him home, he appears to be in a better place, having been trying to help a friend he has been chatting to online.

However, when he asks to speak to his friend, Kat is forced to confess she had to get rid of his computer while he was away.

While she promises to get him a new one, will troubled Tommy’s dark temper resurface and place Kat in danger once again?

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 3 March at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
