EastEnders’ Teddy Mitchell’s real plan for Walford and dark past ‘revealed’

EastEnders’ latest spoilers gave a big hint that Teddy Mitchell is hiding something dark about his past with someone after him, amid him plotting against Walford residents

New EastEnders character Teddy Mitchell is up to something, spoilers appear to have confirmed as he targets Walford residents next week.

Amid him claiming to be onside with one troubled character, he’s also revealed to have made a deal with a former villain. Not only that, but spoilers reveal he’s hiding from someone and likely has a dark secret yet to be revealed.

Spoilers detail that amid Reiss Colwell struggling to pay back Phil Mitchell, Billy Mitchell’s brother Teddy steps in. He offers to take on Reiss’ debts leaving him dumbfounded, but why would Teddy do this without their being a motive?

Reiss is worried he will regret it, and this could be the case. Teddy is quick to remind his sons about a mystery drama from their past, saying they need to be on their best behaviour and need to make friends.

Then it’s revealed Teddy has bought No.1 off killer Gray Atkins, with him wanting to have a fresh start. But why do they need to start again, and where has Teddy got the money for the house and to take on residents’ debts?

There’s talk of them “having left trouble behind”, and soon Harry warns his dad that “you know who” has been sniffing around their old home as if they are searching for him. So what has Teddy done, and who is the unnamed person clearly out to get him?

It’s clear from the spoilers that Teddy is up to something, trying to get people onside while making a place for himself in Albert Square. But with him previously taunting Reiss, is he out to get him and could he actually have bad intentions?

Perhaps the person after Teddy is someone he has wronged in the past, and maybe he’s the reason he seems to have so much money. Surely it’s only a matter of time before he’s found though, no doubt bringing danger to the Mitchells in Walford.

Teddy insists he’s got it all under control, but it’s clear his sons, who know about his past, are worried about what they are hiding. Viewers will no doubt have their theories about what’s coming next!

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
