EastEnders spoilers: Suki ‘worsens’, Cindy attacker ‘rumbled’ and Nigel’s secret

EastEnders has released new spoilers for next week’s episodes, with the BBC soap set to air big discoveries, the fallout to Suki and Eve’s deadly wedding day and new twists

Following the dramatic events of New Year’s Day on EastEnders, new spoilers have been released teasing the fallout to some huge moments on the show.

New teasers hint at the real attacker of Cindy Beale after she was left for dead at Christmas, while we also get closer to the truth regarding what returning character Nigel Bates is hiding amid a sad theory. After Nish, Suki, Eve and Denise’s fates were confirmed on Thursday night after a catastrophic series of events, we also know the fallout to the earth-shattering day.

One character’s health takes a sudden turn for the worse after a balcony fall, while the other injured characters struggle with recent events. They aren’t alone though, as one family faces turmoil and a cover-up in the wake of the disaster.

We have to start with the Suki and Eve wedding fallout given the dramatic scenes airing on Thursday. Villain Nish Panesar died as his reign of terror came to a gruesome end.

He was shoved off a balcony by his son Ravi Gulati, with Nish taunting him until he snapped – knowing exactly what he was doing. So much so, Nish wrapped his hand around ex-wife Suki’s wedding dress without Ravi or her realising.

He knew that by doing this, when Ravi inevitably pushed Nish off the balcony Suki would fall with him, in one last cruel torment towards his son Ravi. Elsewhere, Eve Unwin was revealed to be alive after being poisoned by Nish, and Nish’s other attack victim Denise Fox also lived to tell the tale.

Next week, the Panesars are struggling with recent events in the wake of Nish’s demise. With his grandson Nugget, Ravi’s son, having helped hide Nish after he fled prison, he’s left numb in the wake of Nish’s revenge.

He’s also feeling guilty, with his mum Priya helping to cover up his involvement from the police. Things take a worrying turn though when Eve is with Suki at the hospital, and Suki’s condition suddenly deteriorates.

As she takes a turn for the worse the family fear for her, but the doctors soon offer some reassuring news. It seems Suki will be okay as the family are told by doctors what has happened to Suki and why, clearly not worried about her condition.

Ravi seeks forgiveness from Suki later on before also speaking with love interest Denise, while he’s clearly rattled by his actions. Suki soon returns home but the family remain in turmoil, with Nugget distracted and not listening to Priya who is desperate to get through to him.

Elsewhere, two other Walford families remain in trouble after Cindy’s brutal assault on Christmas Day. All fingers point to Junior Knight being her attacker, and soon he’s forced to defend himself.

Elaine Peacock, still not on good terms with husband George Knight thanks to Cindy’s meddling, holds a crisis meeting as she’s determined to find out who hurt Cindy. Junior ends up making a shocking admission that could change everything, after all eyes are on him after his affair with Cindy.

His attempt to clear his name sparks anger and a fight ensues, and soon George is left telling his son some home truths. With Cindy still in a coma, Junior heads to her bedside – while back in Walford, Elaine, Anna and Gina make a discovery that leaves them reeling.

As Anna and Gina discuss how to deal with their discovery, an attempt to dispose some evidence leads to them being confronted by their brother Peter who has followed them. He demands the truth, and soon he’s faced with reluctantly keeping their secret.

Soon there’s an update from the hospital, so will Cindy wake up and will the guilty party be revealed? Finally next week, the mystery surrounding Nigel’s return to the show after almost three decades leads to a truth being revealed.

As Billy Mitchell confronts him about why he’s really back it’s clear he is hiding something. Soon a decision from Phil Mitchell leaves Billy stunned, and Nigel soon confronts Phil over what he has heard.

Things reach a head when Nigel plans to flee Walford, before he takes solace in the laundrette with Yolande Trueman. As she attempts to support Nigel he reveals a huge truth.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
