EastEnders spoilers had teased Sharon Watts had a secret that could be exposed next week on the BBC soap, and now new images have hinted at what she is hiding

There’s a big secret being kept under wraps on EastEnders by BBC soap favourite Sharon Watts.

Now it’s been teased what she is hiding, ahead of a handful of characters finding out. It doesn’t seem to be something that has aired yet, and will likely occur this week.

New images have teased what and who the secret involves, and it could bring an end to her romance with Teddy Mitchell. In scenes to air this week, Sharon confides in her ex Grant Mitchell following the devastating fire at The Queen Vic.

Her close friend Martin Fowler was killed in the tragedy, while Sharon also nearly died. As she continues to recover and grieve this week, she finds herself turning to ex Grant, who is troubled after his brother Phil Mitchell’s mental health battle.

It seems the pair get close as they share a heart-to-heart, and open up to each other about their troubles. As they lean on each other in their time of need, it becomes clear the chemistry is very much still there.

But as the pair turn to each other, will they act on the chemistry and get together? Viewers will have to tune in this week to find out what happens, and whether Sharon will spill the beans to Teddy.

It comes as spoilers revealed Sharon would be hiding something next week, and that Bianca Jackson would learn the truth. Soon enough, Teddy’s son Barney also finds out after eavesdropping a conversation between Sharon and her brother Zack Hudson.

So is this about the moment with Grant? Has a kiss or more happened, and has Sharon cheated on Teddy? It could well be the case!

Next week’s discovery leads to a major DNA bombshell that will impact multiple families in Walford. As Sharon tries to take control of her situation and prepares to be honest, circumstances prevent her from speaking out.

She confides in her sibling Zack who vows to help her, as it becomes apparent someone else has overheard the secret. Barney soon admits to Zack he’s the one who eavesdropped, and Zack vows to stop Barney from speaking out.

Things take a turn though when Barney’s taken to hospital as he begins bleeding from the wound he sustained in the explosion. As his parents Nicola and Teddy panic over his injury, Zack joins them and overhears a telling conversation about blood groups.

Zack ends up speaking to a nurse about it before confronting Nicola, asking if he is in fact Barney’s real dad after their shared past which is yet to be fully explained. Nicola admits in a major twist that Zack is Barney’s biological father.
