It’s all kicking off in Walford once again in EastEnders, with one character set to face a huge ultimatum, while another is left stunned following an unexpected kiss
Another week of high drama is set to unfold in EastEnders, with several characters on the Square feeling the heat.
In Tuesday’s episode, Lauren struggles with withdrawal symptoms but turns down Cindy’s offer of extra pills. As her condition worsens, a clueless Peter rushes her to the hospital, worried she might have harmed their unborn child.
A scan confirms the baby is safe, but Cindy is horrified when she realises Lauren is still using drugs during her pregnancy. Away from Peter and Ian, a heated showdown takes place between Cindy and Lauren, with Cindy giving her an ultimatum: either confess to Peter or she’ll spill the beans.
Elsewhere, Ruby and Martin are devastated to learn that the donor liver for Roman’s transplant isn’t a match. However, there’s a glimmer of hope when doctors reveal that Martin is a suitable donor and could be Roman’s best shot.
Much to Ruby’s surprise and relief, Martin agrees without hesitation. Lily becomes upset when she learns that Martin will undergo surgery to save his son, concerned about the potential repercussions for his other children if anything goes wrong, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Later, during a heartfelt chat with Stacey, Martin voices his fears and, in a moment of emotion, tries to kiss her, leaving them both bewildered.
In Wednesday’s instalment, Cindy keeps up the pressure on Lauren while Peter shares his concerns about Lauren’s erratic behaviour with Ian, sensing something is amiss.
In a later scene, Ian contemplates proposing to Lauren as a way of reassuring her that he’s committed to co-parenting their child this time around.
Meanwhile, Stacey and Martin are left bewildered by their unexpected kiss, leading Stacey to seek advice from Jean.
In another part of town, Avani convinces Denise to let her work part-time at the salon. However, things take a turn when Jack informs Denise about a potential sighting of Nish, reported by an unidentified caller.
As Avani and Denise are working in the salon, they are suddenly interrupted by two masked men who claim to have been sent by Nish.
Following the distressing incident, Ravi comforts his daughter before confronting Denise, only to find her in the midst of a panic attack. After calming Denise down, Ravi probes her about her fear of Nish’s return – but will she reveal the truth?
EastEnders airs Mondays-Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
