EastEnders spoilers reveal the arrival of a new face next week as well as the return of a character, amid drama for the Mitchells, the Brannings and the Panesars on the BBC soap

EastEnders fans can expect some big moments next week, with plenty of storylines taking new turns.

We have the return of a character after their recent disappearing act, and it’s bad news for The Six. Then there’s the arrival of a character who has only recently been talked about, while their debut airs next week.

This comes amid an arrest as the truth about someone going missing is revealed. The Brannings could face more trouble as they possibly cross the wrong people.

Suki Panesar has a plea for her loved ones after Nish Panesar’s exit, while there could be an emotional storyline on the way for Phil Mitchell. The biggest moment next week has to be the arrival of Nicola Mitchell, Teddy’s wife.

Barney Mitchell had fled to see his mum recently, amid his brother Harry and their dad Teddy hiding something. But next week Nicola finally arrives, and she and Teddy soon clash.

Harry finds himself questioned, as he’s arrested by police in connection with the disappearance of his ex Shireen after some new evidence comes to light. Just as he’s led away Nicola arrives, and soon she’s keen to help her son.

In the fallout of Harry’s arrest, Jack and Penny Branning face trouble with the Mitchells who want revenge. Nicola is keen to get to the bottom of Penny’s involvement, and soon Harry is gunning for his new love interest.

But amid her betraying him, could he expose to Jack that Penny was also working against her father? It seems Nicola might have more to worry about though with it clear she is hiding something huge.

Teddy wants his ex out of the way as she makes waves across Walford. Teddy decides to weaponise a big secret about her recent past, so what has happened?

Elsewhere, there’s trouble for another Mitchell – Phil. It seems there could be an emotional storyline for the soap legend on the way, as others grow concerned for him.

He seems to be hiding something, while he’s also pushing people away. Phil seems down but as Sharon Watts tries to get through to him, she doesn’t get anywhere.

Sharon and Kat Slater separately try to talk to Phil, who is becoming increasingly isolated. Phil covers his emotions and refuses to open up to either of them.

Elsewhere, Suki begs the family to keep quiet about her and Nish’s recent blessing so she can tell partner Eve herself, but soon Avani blows the secret. Eve is left reeling and doesn’t buy Suki’s attempts to explain herself, but can they get back on track?

Suki is also left worried when Bernadette Taylor returns, with her knowing the truth about her brother Keanu Taylor’s murder. The real killer Linda Carter tries to explain about her failed confession, but Bernie rages over Nish taking the rap and warns that neither of them will ever move on.

Bernie stalks over to confront Suki, who tries a different tactic to calm her down. But will Bernie let this go, or might someone else find out the truth?
