EastEnders Ruby Allen’s real reason for return as Chrissie drops life-changing news

Chrissie Watts dropped some life-changing news about Ruby Allen on EastEnders on Thursday night ahead of her return to the BBC soap, with Sharon Watts left reeling

The latest episode of EastEnders dropped some major news about returning character Ruby Allen, with Chrissie Watts making a life-changing bombshell.

One character will soon find their lives changing forever, as Chrissie appeared to confirm a major twist about Ruby. Viewers know that Ruby left the show in 2021 after being arrested, after falsely claiming Stacey Slater had pushed her down the stairs.

Stacey was accused of causing Ruby’s miscarriage and was sent to prison for the assault, but the truth later came out. Ruby was framed by the Slaters as revenge, with her arrested for being behind the cannabis farm Jean Slater had set up in her garage.

Ruby has yet to return, but it was recently confirmed by the BBC soap that actress Louisa Lytton was reprising her role once more very soon. Now it’s been confirmed what went on following her exit from Walford, with her being imprisoned.

Ruby had told ex Martin Fowler she was pregnant but he did not believe her. It seems she wasn’t lying though and we now know what will lead to her return after three years away.

After Chrissie Watts made a comeback this week after 19 years away, she dropped an almighty bombshell on Martin’s pal Sharon Watts. Chrissie confirmed Ruby had been in prison with her and they were cell mates for a while.

She then confessed to Sharon that Ruby was moved as she prepared to give birth. Sharon was stunned knowing Martin would be the father of Ruby’s baby, a child he had no idea about.

Ruby’s whereabouts were not confirmed and nothing about her child was revealed either. But Chrissie’s life-changing news confirmed she was in fact pregnant after all, and had since welcomed Martin’s child.

Sharon was seen looking shocked as it dawned on her, but will she tell Martin the truth when she gets out? This will surely be what paves the way for Ruby’s comeback to Walford which has already been filmed.

Will Ruby bring Martin’s child to Walford with her, and will she be staying in Walford for good? Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out when the scenes air later this year with nothing confirmed as of yet!

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
