EastEnders ‘reveals’ who will expose Reiss Colwell as two characters ‘to team up’

EastEnders dropped a major hint that two characters were suspicious of Reiss Colwell and could end up exposing his lies on the BBC soap, ahead of a murder arrest

EastEnders may have teased Reiss Colwell’s downfall, as two unlikely characters could team up and expose him.

Both characters in question were onto him and his lies, suspecting him of scheming and maybe even scamming residents. Reiss’ financial woes have built up to the point that in recent episodes, he finally admitted to partner Sonia Fowler that he was in debt, and couldn’t afford his ex-wife Debbie’s care home fees.

Days later he appeared to kill Debbie, leading to his and Sonia’s murder arrests next week. He’s also been trying to con residents out of money, faking an investment to get Sharon Watts and Phil Mitchell onside recently.

This has now backfired as he doesn’t have the funds to give Phil the money he is demanding. Eve Unwin had also paid him £2,000 for an engagement ring that Sonia then asked for back. Eve handed it over but has not received the money she paid.

Eve’s fiancée Suki Panesar is onto Reiss, not happy about the ring or the fact he’s not paid Eve back. She asked Eve about this during Thursday’s episode, and Eve was sure Reiss had the money and she’d get it soon.

Suki wasn’t so sure though, confessing she was onto him and didn’t think he had the cash, “not trusting him an inch”. Her claims were overheard by Phil who then realised that the “investment payout” he got given by Reiss recently must have been Eve’s cash.

Realising Reiss had lied to him about the investment, with him claiming to have cashed out, Phil wasted no time in tracking him down. Phil revealed he knew there was no investment and that the money had not come from this, but instead it was Eve’s.

This would mean that Phil’s money was gone, and he wanted to back. He soon attacked Reiss and threatened him, telling him if he did not pay up by Monday he would “hurt him bad”.

So could we see Suki and Phil both expose Reiss together with what they know amid his plan to flee Walford, which was thwarted by Sonia? With Reiss being arrested next week, surely it’s only a matter of time before his lies and schemes come to light.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
