EastEnders Reiss Colwell’s next victim ‘confirmed’ as fans say his ‘days are numbered’

EastEnders fans are convinced that Reiss Colwell’s days in Walford are numbered as he begins to panic about the possibility of being exposed for killing his wife

EastEnders fans are certain that Reiss Colwell’s dark secret is about to be revealed, months after he murdered his comatose wife Debbie.

Viewers of the BBC One soap will recall that Reiss (played by Jonny Freeman) killed Debbie (portrayed by Jenny Meier) in her care home and successfully concealed his crime earlier this year.

However, he was left aghast when his fiancee Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) was wrongfully accused of the murder as his web of lies began to unravel.

Reiss has been spearheading a campaign to free Sonia from prison, but her step-sister Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) has grown suspicious of him and believes he is behind Debbie’s death.

Following a conversation with Bianca’s father David Wicks last month, Reiss decided to relocate to Peterborough to be nearer to Sonia in prison but during Monday’s episode (November 4), which is now available on BBC iPlayer, he made a return to Walford.

Keen to make peace with Bianca so they could concentrate on Sonia’s campaign, Reiss proposed a truce, which she grudgingly accepted. He then received a text from Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) inviting him to meet at The Vic, where he revealed that the private detective he hired had obtained CCTV footage from a warehouse close to the care home, reports the Manchester Evening News.

EastEnders fans were on the edge of their seats as Reiss fled the scene with potential evidence that could tie him to Debbie’s death. In a shocking twist, after Reiss scoped out footage showing him entering the care home, he bolted, leaving Teddy in the dark and slipping past Bianca who was itching to get involved.

Reiss then spun a yarn to Bianca, claiming the CCTV didn’t show anything useful but soon went on to destroy the damning evidence when no one was looking. But Bianca smelled a rat, especially after hearing from Teddy about the missing flash drive, prompting her to rush to confront Reiss. The showdown had viewers fearing for her safety, with social media buzzing about Reiss’ deepening desperation.

One X user commented: “This is the first time we see some real desperation from Reiss. With Teddy hiring a PI and Bianca still on the Square – he knows his time is numbered so he’s clutching at straws to keep his secret hidden. Reiss will trip up at some point. #EastEnders.”

Fans are on the edge of their seats, with one viewer exclaiming: “I need Reiss off my screen, he needs to be caught asap it’s stressing me out now #eastenders.” The tension is ramping up as another suggested: “I think Reiss might be heading towards becoming a serial killer.”

Even more chillingly, someone else chipped in: “Hope he kills her? “.With the stakes higher than ever, all eyes are on whether Bianca will uncover the sinister truth, or if cold-blooded Reiss will take drastic measures to conceal his deadly deeds.

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
