EastEnders’ Reiss Colwell makes a big decision in early iPlayer episode

The killer takes a break from Walford.

EastEnders spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (October 7), which is available now on BBC iPlayer but hasn’t yet aired on BBC One.

EastEnders villain Reiss Colwell has fled from Albert Square to escape the heat following Bianca Jackson’s allegations against him.

The schemer has found himself firmly on the back foot over the past couple of weeks, as Bianca continues to share her suspicions that he killed his wife Debbie.

Bianca is determined to expose the truth as her half-sister Sonia Fowler has been wrongly accused of the crime. However, even though Bianca is very much on the right track, her recent erratic behaviour has meant that few people are willing to listen to her theories about Reiss.

In Monday’s episode, Bianca realised that her father David Wicks was back on Albert Square to check on her following concerns over her mental health.

Bianca urged David to see that she could be right about Reiss being a murderer, so he reluctantly went to speak to the source of his daughter’s frustrations.

During a tense conversation with David, manipulative Reiss continued to play the victim as he insisted that Bianca had it all wrong about Debbie’s death.

He told David: “I’ve tried telling Bianca time and again. There must have been someone else there, right after Sonia.

“They might even have been there the same time, waiting for her to leave. But [Bianca] just won’t listen. We’re on the same side – she said it herself, we want the same thing. But it’s like she’s got one thought in her head and nothing’s going to shift it.”

With David unable to decide whether Reiss could be trusted or not, he tried to resolve the matter by urging Reiss to get out of the picture for a while.

Reiss complied and packed his bags, informing Bianca that he was heading off for a trip to Peterborough to be closer to Sonia, who’s currently being held on remand.

Bianca was outraged by the news, claiming that Reiss had managed to pull the wool over David’s eyes too.

When will Reiss be back in Walford?

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
