EastEnders’ Nish was held hostage by Priya in a revenge plot but when he was set free – the dying businessman wasted no time in seeking vengeance.
EastEnders confirmed dying Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) fate on Thursday (August 1) as the hostage was freed from his Minute Mart ordeal. The villianous businessman was handcuffed to the pipework inside the shop’s store room by Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) in a bid to make him confess to his recent lies.
But as he refused to admit he lied about sleeping with Priya, she left him in there. While held against his will, Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) walked into The Minute Mart and joked about their plan to swipe all of his businesses.
Vinny has been pretending to care about Nish after he was recently diagnosed with viral myocarditis and urgently needs a heart transplant.
But really Vinny is planning to swipe all of the family businesses for himself and his mum. Nish heard every word of their plot and wasted no time is getting some revenge.
During the latest trip to Walford, which is available to watch early on iPlayer, Nish was still tied up and breathless, with Priya clocking a notification on his phone saying that his medication was overdue.

She called by on her hostage and demanded he record the video, but he remained defiant and said even if he did agree, he would tell his family that it was said under duress and report her to the police for false imprisonment.
Vinny and Suki feigned concern when Ravi (Aaron Thiara) arrived at No. 41 and said that Nish hadn’t returned home.
The brothers headed to the shop after realising it hadn’t been opened up for the day and found their dad being hounded by Priya.
Suki also arrived as Vinny suggested they take Nish to the hospital to get checked out. Once back home, Nish demanded Vinny made him some food but it was clear the dying man had other plans up his sleeve.

While Nish and his two sons bonded over their home-made meal, he told Vinny he was happy with his recent business know-how.
But in a shock twist, Nish told Ravi he he was handing over the call centre business to him.
Vinny looked shocked and upset by Nish’s latest move as his told reassued him: “Oh don’t be upset Vinny.”
Nish then issued a chilling warning and added he had “bigger and bolder plans” for him. Is Vinny is danger?
