Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) resorts to desperate measures to protect her affair in EastEnders next week – with sad repercussions for Bobby (Clay Milner Russell).
This week we saw Cindy capitalise on Ian and Kathy’s (Gillian Taylforth) trip to the US as a way to jump into bed with her former step-son Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) again.
Craving more attention from him and frustrated that he was distracted by work, she agreed to an innocent drink with Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) in The Vic as a way to make him jealous.
The two then arranged another afternoon of fun together but their plans were scuppered by Peter (Thomas Law), who had to attend a meeting and therefore needed his mum to manage Beale’s Eels.
In an act of desperation she employed Bobby to help out, and promoted him to manager – but it didn’t go smoothly.
Back at the house, she and Junior couldn’t keep their hands off one another, unaware that Bobby was on his way home after a disastrous day!
In upcoming scenes, Peter is frustrated by his half-brother’s promotion and girlfriend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) resolves that there must be another reason that Cindy made the move.
Junior overhears Peter, Lauren and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) speculating, assuming that Cindy is trying to resolve their family dramas. In a bid to throw Peter off the scent, he offers him a job on his new contract.
Later, Cindy is enraged to learn that Peter is to work with her lover and instead offers for him to take over Bobby’s managerial position. Peter is against the idea, and she orders Junior not to employ her son.
To cover her tracks, she tells a lie to try and discredit Junior.
As the week progresses, he tempts Cindy to a late-night glass of wine at the Brewery Apartments, and she gets all glammed up before making her excuses to the family.
However, as she makes her way over, Gina unexpectedly arrives and asks her brother if she can move in. Terrified that they’ll be caught in the act, he turns down her request and upsets her.
Will Gina run into her mum?
