EastEnders icon shows off jaw-dropping weight loss one year after BBC soap exit

EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley, who played Karen Taylor on the soap, has wowed fans with her five-stone weight loss, looking gorgeous in a glam snap at a charity ball

EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley looked incredible as she showed off her five stone weight loss.

The 48-year-old actress, who played Karen Taylor on the BBC soap for six years, showed off her epic transformation this week in a snap posted on Instagram. Lorraine looked glam as ever in a black ballgown that revealed her slimmed figure.

The soap star was dressed to the nines for a glitzy bash for mental health charity Don’t Suffer in Silence, which she attended with her nephew. Captioning the snap, she wrote: “What a great evening supporting @dontsufferinsilence.uk I met some beautiful people and was humbled to be in there presence.”

Lorraine’s fans were left swooning over her transformation and rushed to the comments to compliment the star. One gushed: “You look amazing Lorraine, how did you get so slim.”

Another commented: “Where did you steal that body from.” A third said: “You look amazing girl! x”.

Lorraine opened up about her weight loss earlier this year, revealing she’d lost five stone. “What a difference a year makes,’ she wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a before and after photo. “Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mum.”

Lorraine left EastEnders last year, with her character Karen Taylor jetting off to Spain with her family to start a new life. She made an explosive return to the soap earlier this year, following the death of her son Keanu.

Sadly, despite her best efforts to squeeze information about her son’s whereabouts out of The Six, she left without answers as to what happened to her son, who was murdered by Linda Carter on Christmas Day.

Lorraine has explained the door has been left open for Karen to return to Albert Square in the future. She told The Sun: “At the moment I wouldn’t go back, I’m happy doing what I’m doing.

“They’ve left the door open, so never say never.”I made that special appearance and it was nice to see everyone and be apart of the family again.”
