Michelle Collins has revealed that she won’t be popping up in the upcoming live episode of EastEnders even though her character Cindy Beale is at the centre of a massive whodunnit storyline.
The BBC One soap is revving up for its big 4-0 celebrations with an epic hour-long special and a nail-biting live show to wrap up a week of festivities.
Fans are on tenterhooks to find out who clobbered Cindy on Christmas Day as she gears up to face them down with a gun, sparking off a sizzling sequence of events that leads to the iconic Queen Vic pub going kaboom!
While the action-packed episodes will unfold across one single day, culminating in the edge-of-your-seat live episode on Thursday (February 20) night, Michelle has confirmed she won’t be partaking in the live shenanigans.
Chatting with Metro, she dished out: “I’m actually not going to be in the live. I am allowed to say that.

Even with her extensive stage experience under her belt, Michelle reckons that doesn’t really make a jot of difference, reports Plymouth Live.

“I’ve done a lot of theatre but I don’t think it really matters. Live tv is very different to live theatre, so I think there’s going to be quite a few very terrified actors.”
she expressed her thoughts on live TV versus theatre. She’s also not even slightly gobsmacked about who ended up being behind the attack on Cindy, saying, “Was I surprised? No, I wasn’t surprised when I found out. I think Cindy will be very surprised when she finds out.”

And she applauded how the storyline was knitted together, adding, “It’s great the way they’ve done it with the suspects being so close to Cindy, it’s really been exciting.”
Hints have been dropped that at least one beloved character will meet their end in the blast, leaving fans on tenterhooks to find out who will be departing Walford in a body bag.
