EastEnders’ latest episode may have given away how Junior Knight and Cindy Beale’s affair will be exposed on the BBC soap, and it might not be Freddie Slater who finds out
EastEnders may have given a major clue to the downfall of Cindy Beale and Junior Knight amid their secret affair.
The pair embarked on a fling months ago, and now they’re struggling to end things. Cindy is once again cheating on partner Ian Beale, this time with her ex-husband George Knight’s son Junior.
They were almost caught out recently, and actually David Wicks is the only person who has rumbled them. With David gone their secret remains under wraps amid Cindy’s engagement to Ian.
With Christmas on the way and the show’s 40th Anniversary, fans say it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes to light. A scene last week combined with one this week, both linked to Freddie Slater, left fans sure he would be the one to rumble them.
They believed in a nod to Sharongate, the audio of Cindy and Junior’s affair being discussed which is currently on Freddie’s recording equipment would be what gives the game away. But now there’s another way it could well be exposed.

On Tuesday night, Peter Beale made a discovery about his boss Junior. He was mortified when he found out Junior was blocking the emergency exit in the nightclub on the night of the crush.
Fans will recall Cindy and Junior were getting steamy in the office and had locked the door. While party goers including Peter’s partner Lauren Branning desperately tried to get inside the office, knowing about the fire exit, they could not get through the locked door.
Eventually the door was broken down and Lauren burst into the room before being injured in the crush. Cindy and Junior were in the room, but Lauren hit her head and isn’t sure what she saw.
At the time, she was sure Cindy was there but no one believed her with Cindy denying this. Peter confronted Junior on Tuesday about his moment of passion with a mystery lady that could have left people dead, thanks to him locking the door.
If Lauren finds out about this, might her memory come back and might she be able to identify Cindy as being the mystery fling? If Lauren can place Cindy at the scene in the office with Junior, surely it’s only a matter of time before the affair is exposed to the family.
It will no doubt bring an end to her romance with Ian and maybe jeopardise things with son Peter as well as her daughters Anna and Gina Knight, who are Junior’s half-sisters.
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
